Can you believe it's May?! I can't. The weeks are passing faster and faster, and I'm getting busier and busier. I haven't been on at all in May until now! Wow. Time does fly. I just got on to say you probably won't be hearing from me much until the end of the school year...only a few more weeks. Ya, so don't expect to see a new review every few days because that's not going to happen. Anyway, goodbye for now! Read as much as you can! *Phae Phae*
I loved it! Has anyone else noticed how books come in trends? First vampires and werewolves now angels. I'm not complaining because I love angel books, but let's get some originality here authors!

Luce is not excited to be at boarding school. She is forced to attend because of the mysterious death of her boyfriend. Who else can you blame when she was the only one with him? Adding to that she sees shadows. She has seen them her whole life. They float around never interfering with her life... until now.

Luce meets Daniel, a familiar looking boy who seems to want to stay as far away from her as possible. As a matter of fact, the people at school either hate her or love her, and they all seen to know something that she doesn't. Something that affects every ones lives.

Finally, Luce learns the truth. The scary, unrealistic truth. Daniel is an angel, and he meets her every 17 years. And after they meet she dies. Then the cycle starts over again and again. Something is different this time. There will be a war. Luce's life is on the line, but what can she do to stop the course of fate?

*Phae Phae*
Phaedrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09913294236083365383noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4749856541605100482.post-67254344212083618432011-04-12T17:22:00.000-05:002011-04-12T17:22:14.597-05:00What are your top 5 favorite books? Towards the end of the book, the story picked up its pace and really it kept surprising me. I really didn't expect the outcome. Anyway... the review.
I chose Phaedra's Multipurpose blog so that I could use it for whatever I wanted, and not put it into a category. *Phae Phae*

I actually got my post out on time!!! Yeah! Anyway, here is the gorgeous cover, and below is the Goodreads summary.

Katarina Bishop has worn a lot of labels in her short life. Friend. Niece. Daughter. Thief. But for the last two months she’s simply been known as the girl who ran the crew that robbed the greatest museum in the world. That’s why Kat isn’t surprised when she’s asked to steal the infamous Cleopatra Emerald so it can be returned to its rightful owners.

There are only three problems. First, the gem hasn’t been seen in public in thirty years. Second, since the fall of the Egyptian empire and the suicide of Cleopatra, no one who holds the emerald keeps it for long, and in Kat’s world, history almost always repeats itself. But it’s the third problem that makes Kat’s crew the most nervous and that is simply… the emerald is cursed.

Kat might be in way over her head, but she’s not going down without a fight. After all she has her best friend—the gorgeous Hale—and the rest of her crew with her as they chase the Cleopatra around the globe, dodging curses, realizing that the same tricks and cons her family has used for centuries are useless this time.

Which means, this time, Katarina Bishop is making up her own rules. *Phae Phae*
Phaedrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09913294236083365383noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4749856541605100482.post-36321686133339239692011-03-16T15:44:00.001-05:002011-03-16T15:44:00.397-05:00Wednesday's Word of the Week <span style="color: purple; font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: x-large;">Coxcomb
I'm having a hard time remembering to get on my blog and write a post. I'm on break right now, and all the days just sort of melt together. I forgot to post yesterday, so I'm posting today! Laziness... the story of my life. Haha.
I read Heist Society by Ally Carter for the second time! I loved it even more this time. As many of you know, Ally Carter has wrote a sequel to this book! I can't wait to read it. It is called Uncommon Criminals, and it is coming out in June. ( I am posting the picture and Goodreads summary Thursday.)

***** Five Stars!

Kat had decided to quit the family business and go to boarding school. She was tired of being a thief and wanted a normal teenage life. Kat learned that it is not that easy to walk away from your family.

When Kat's family gets her expelled from school, she realizes that she is not going to be able to escape the life of a thief no matter what she does. It turns out that Kat's family has a reason for ruining her "normal" teenage life. Her father is in trouble. He's being blamed for stealing five priceless paintings, and the owner of the paintings wants them back. The owner will do anything it takes to get them back. Kat knows that her father is in trouble, so she decides to find the paintings, steal them back, and keep her father safe.
Kat knows she can't take on this mission alone, so she gets some help from her friends. Six kids, five paintings, and a high-tech museum. Kat knows she has one chance to help her father. Can she get him out of trouble and return the paintings??? *Phae Phae*
Phaedrahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09913294236083365383noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4749856541605100482.post-92071391818227398812011-03-12T12:03:00.000-06:002011-03-12T12:03:33.840-06:00Spells Spells by Aprilynne Pike is a pretty good book. It's the second one in the series, and the third book is coming out soon! This book started out a little slow, but it got a lot better towards the end.
Barnes is a lurking threat, and he is waiting for his chance at revenge. With Laurel not paying attention to anything around her, he has the perfect opportunity to strike... so he does.
