The question is: What book(s) have you discovered lately from someone's book blog?

The book I discovered and read most recently was The Lying Game by Sara Shepard.(I have the link to my review attached to the title). I discovered this book at Katie's Amazing Book Reviews, and it was amazing!!! Happy Hopping! *Phae Phae*

I Am Number Four

     I finished I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore. It's the first book in the Lorien Legacies Series, and I can't wait to read the next book which comes out on June 7!!! This book was pretty long, and it took me awhile to get through, but it was totally worth it! Another thing I look forward to is the movie. That's right, there is going to be a movie. It will star Alex Pettyfer as Number Four and will be in theaters on February 18! That's enough about the future, here's the review:

     Nine aliens arrived on Earth. They came from the planet Lorien and are being hunted. They can only be killed in numerical order because they have a spell cast on them.The first three have been killed by the Mogadorians. Number Four is next. Number Four has taken the identity of John. 

     Number Four is starting over again. This time will be different though. His name will be John and he will have actual friends. John needs to be careful. The Mogadorians are on his trail and he can't do anything that will draw attention to himself. That is a harder task than he expected. John is developing powers that are strengthened by emotion. It's hard to keep them under control when kids at school are trying to get him angry. John keeps his temper though, and he makes friends. Life is a lot better when you have people around you, even if you are on the run.

     One mistake that John makes ruins everything. The Mogadorians find him and his friends. There is nothing they can do but fight. They have to kill every last one of them. It's a huge task, and John isn't ready for it, but he doesn't have a choice. Will John and his friends make it out of the battle alive, or will lives be lost?



Fixing Delilah

     My first review of the year is going to be... Fixing Delilah by Sarah Ockler. This was a good book. It's not my favorite, but it's up towards the top.



     Delilah never knew her dad. It was always just her and her mom. She was alone a lot of the time because her mom was very secretive and had become a workaholic. Delilah had accepted her life. She was giving minimum effort in everything. It had been that way for along time, but her life changed that summer. The summer when her grandmother died, and she had to go to Vermont. The summer in Vermont changed Delilah's life, and she realized that she could do so much more with her life; she could be happy.

     While in Vermont, Delilah started to find clues as to why she and her mom never visited her grandmother. She got curious and wondered what lies her mother had told her. Delilah went and talked to her mother, and she found out the truth. It turns out that she didn't necessarily want to know the truth. Delilah was hurt, and she turned to her old friend, Little Ricky. He comforted her, but she realized that she had to go back and talk to her mom because no matter what, they were family, and family is always there for you. *Phae Phae*

The Lying Game

     Happy New Year's Eve!!! I wish you the best in 2011. I recently read The Lying Game by Sara Shepard. It was pretty intense! My heart was always racing, and I wouldn't put it down. I read from start to finish. I loved it! I'm not usually into the whole murder mystery genre, but this book was an exception.

     Sutton Mercer is dead, but no one knows. Why? Because Emma Paxton, her long lost twin, shows up right after the murder. Someone threatens her into pretending to be Sutton, so she changes her identity. Emma is stuck with Sutton's life, which includes mysterious threats, mean girls, and THE LYING GAME. Emma doesn't know who to trust. Everyone is a suspect.

      Emma makes it her job to figure out who killed her sister, but that's kind of hard to do when her friends are pulling dangerous pranks all the time. Once life starts to get really scary for Emma, she tries to leave, but she changes her mind and stays to solve the mystery. Emma is finding pieces of the puzzle, but nothing makes sense. It could have been anyone. She needs more information, but she can't find any.

     When Emma finally knows part of what happened the night of her sister's murder, it doesn't solve anything. She finds that the people she suspected most, might not have had anything to do with Sutton's death. Someone is watching. Someone knows the truth. Someone murdered Sutton, but who was it? Will Emma every find out the answer, or will her meddling cost her her own life? *Phae Phae*

  

Paranormalcy

     Hey everyone! I slept in today and now I'm very very very hyper! =D Anyway... I finished Paranormalcy by Kiersten White! I had been waiting forever to read it, and my friend over at Katie's Amazing Book Reviews let me borrow it! Thanks Katie!!!

      Evelyn is a hunter. She works for the IPCA, and her jobs is to catch paranormal creatures. Evelyn, or Evie, doesn't know who she really is. She has been working for as long as she can remember, and she doesn't know who her parents are. Soon she meets Lend, a creature she has never seen before. He is made from water, and can change his appearance. Even though Evie isn't supposed to be talking with Lend, she sneaks around so that she can see him. She is fascinated by Lend, and they are soon good friends despite their obvious differences, but life for Evie isn't always going to be happy.
     Paranormal creatures start dying. Not just one at a time. Huge groups of creature are found dead with no signs of injury. Everyone is puzzled. No one can determine what has happened, no one but Evie. On every dead body she sees a handprint. Not just anyhand print, a handprint with little flames under it. A sign that means the body's soul has been taken.
     Strange things start happening and the creature that is killing everyone is let into the IPCA center. Lend and Evie escape the center, but not before seeing the creature named Vivian. Looking for answers, Evie and Lend face many more troubles, but none bigger than the murders. Will they stop Vivian, or will one of them die trying? *Phae Phae*
