The Betrayal of Maggie Blair

Sorry the post is sort of late... I had to get my passport picture taken because I am going to Japan!!! But that can wait for another day. The Betrayal of Maggie Blair by Elizabeth Laird is one of the Net Galley books that I recently finished. I can't say that this is my favorite book, but it was really good.
**** Four Stars

Maggie lives in the seventeenth-century, and she and her grandmother live together. After her grandma "curses" a baby, she and Maggie are tried for witchcraft. Maggie luckily escapes with the help of a friend, but her grandmother is hanged. Maggie is now all alone, on the run, and penniless. She leaves in search of her uncle, but it seems she just can not escape danger.
Maggie is followed by one of her accusers. The accusers is a lying brat who pretends to be a innocent little girl tricked into falsly accusing Maggie. That however is a lie. The evil girl (if you can't tell, I hate her) turns Maggie's newly found family against her, but isn't ready to stop at just that. Instead, she also turns Maggie's uncle in for believing in the wrong god. Now Maggie not only has to protect herself, but she has to help rescue her uncle. Life will never be the same for Maggie Blair. *Phae Phae*

Anybody have a suggestion?! I think I'll have a post out tomorrow, so you should be on the look out for it! *Phae Phae*

Follow Friday(8)

Hey guys! Follow Friday is hosted by parajunkee.com.
Today's Question: What is your favorite T.V. show?
My favorite show is probably The Sing Off. I know that it isn't playing right now, but I really love listening to the people sing. It amazes me how many people have "undiscovered" talent. I really wish I could sing like the people on TV do! If you haven't seen The Sing Off, check it out next season!!! *Phae Phae*

Hello...

Hi guys. I'm sorry I wasn't on at all this weekend. I had a volleyball tournament, and we got stuck in our hotel (with no Wifi ) because of the bad weather! I'm going to try to catch up with my posts though. I'm going to have a word of the week on Wednesday, and I'm going to try and post more now that I'm back into a routine. Oh, and by the way. Happy President's Day!

Happy Valentines Day!

 Happy Valentines Day!

I'm sorry this post is so late, but I had a busy day. I went and saw... Never Say Never! For those of you who don't know, Never Say Never is a two hour movie about Justin Bieber's life. That probably doesn't interest a lot of you, but I think everyone should go and see this movie. Even the Justin Bieber haters. I have to say that I cried during the movie. I'm really not a huge crier, but watching other people get emotional makes me emotional. Anyway, as a fan of Justin Bieber, I think that Never Say Never was an awesome movie! Even if you hate Justin now, how can you say you hate a cute little kid who could play the guitar when he was two?! This movie just goes to show that dreams do come true. If you got nothing out of this post, than at least remember to FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS! *Phae Phae*

Follow Friday(7)

Friday! Yes! I love Fridays... they mean it's time for the weekend. Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee's View.
Today's Question: What is your favorite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you like the strong silent type or the brute macho man?
Personally, I don't care. I can't decide. As long as the guy is really sweet some of the time, I'll love him!

The Body at the Tower

Hey! Sorry I didn't get anything out yesterday... I'm not feeling so great. This is a little short because I'm about to take a nap, but the review is on The Body at the Tower by Y.S. Lee. This is the second book in the Agency series, and I recommend reading the first book before you read this one.
*****Five Stars

Mary has a mystery to solve once again. This time, however, she is going undercover as a young boy looking for work. She will fool many, but a few people see right through her disguise, and those people are the people she has to worry about.
Mary is on a mission to discover what really happened at St. Steven's Tower. Right below the tower, a body was found. Everyone said the man had jumped, but what if it was a murder? Mary goes to the construction site near the tower to try to find out the truth, but the pieces of the mystery aren't falling into place. There are too many versions of the story. Too many lies. Mary is having a hard time solving the mystery on her own.
Soon, an old acquaintance shows up. One who may be able to help Mary uncover the truth, but only if she trusts him. When things get dangerous and Mary finds that her life is in danger, there is only one things to do. Get help before it's too late. *Phae Phae*

Charles Barkley

So, about ten minutes ago I was trying to finish my book so I can put a review up. But. I was rudely interrupted by my siblings yelling for me to come downstairs and watch a commercial. Since I was bothered with this video, I'm posting it so you can be bothered with it too... It is actually kind of funny!
